Helping @brunoamaral@mastodon.social to deal with #WordPress pluginless multilingual.
Templates: we created one for each language, post-english post-italian with respective headers, footers, sidebars. Each time you publish a post you remember that template must be changed manually. This can be done in bulk as well-, we have categories and tags in both languages redirecting to matching pages if needed.
But search results and 404 error are standardized so we had to create custom code, helped by a dev and also GPT engine but unsolved the archiving of commonly used words as “HIV” “stigma” “AIDS”.
Maybe IntelliBuilder condition plugin will solve this last question? We can’t guarantee, but we do our best to remain as precise as possible.
